Mister is the directing duo made up of Miche Sieg and Rose Chirillo.
If you’re wondering why those look like girls' names, it’s because they are. And if you’re wondering why two girls go by Mister it’s because their combined initials are MR and they thought maybe branding themselves like men would help them get a job. (Surprise! It did).
But what does Mister know about advertising? Well, they spent over a decade as creatives and then creative directors, working with agencies and brands and any poor sucker with a pulse who would listen to their weird ideas. Until one day they had their weirdest idea yet: become directors in this economy.
As directors, Mister’s work focuses on clever absurdism – smart ideas doing really stupid things. They’re into character-driven storytelling with unexpected comedic timing and rich visuals that help land the joke instead of stepping on it. They’ve made talking stomach puppets, cows that host talk shows, and backpacks that hold 200 chicken eggs you got from some dude on the street.
They don’t like to brag, so they’ve outsourced that part to the digital peanut gallery.
