Tom Marshall was born in the glamourous media hotbed of Middlesbrough in the North East. He won the BBC New Talent Award with his short film bigboy_74, '...a comedy about suicide and dogging', the film went on to win numerous international awards.
He was part of Channel 4's prestigious Coming Up scheme and has since directed countless television programs (I mean, you could actually count them if you want, there is loads of them is what I'm saying)
Tom directed the BAFTA-winning series Chewing Gum, and also co-writes and directs the BAFTA-winning sketch show Famalam, the third series of which is to be released later in the year.
In the US he is the originating director of the Emmy Award-winning hit comedy Ted Lasso starring Jason Sudeikis (Horrible Bosses, Hall Pass) for Apple TV and Netflix's Space Force starring Steve Carrell (Big Short, Anchorman).
