BLOG: What next?

First off, I hope you all had a restful Easter break and took advantage of the heatwave! For many of us, it is a time of reflection, an opportunity to take stock and think about the devastating effect the pandemic is having on communities and families all over the world.

Now is a time to keep families and friends close and in our thoughts, and act responsibly for the greater good. Hopefully there will be a gradual easing of our lockdown and our industry can get back to work when it is safe and right to do so.

We are fortunate to work in an amazing advertising community; we are creative, independent and resourceful, and our strength, compassion and support for each other will help us through these uncertain times.

Obviously it’s not right to push a new secret recipe sauce, or a holiday in the Maldives right now, but clients may have airtime booked and want to as brands, give messages of support, or help worthy causes, and we as an industry are here to help in any way we can.

With that in mind, HunkyDory and Chuck Studios are standing by and gladly offer our services to partner with agencies and brands to promote and support messages of hope, goodwill, and help re-establish a compassionate connection with consumers during these incredibly testing times.

We have a studio, we have a motion-control rig, we have animators, motion graphics and 3D collectives, as well as directors and producers who can all work safely and respectfully to help you meet any briefs or messages you may want to share. We’ve also been inspired by our partners at Chuck Studios, who are finding their own safe ways of shooting - scaled-down skeleton crews, distancing on set, live-streaming shoots to agencies and clients etc. proving that creativity will never truly stop.

So with that, please stay safe and healthy, re-connect with people, or maybe that list of DIY you thought you’d never have time for...or just watch box sets and enjoy your downtime as best you can.
